Paula Gorini from Festival Panorama in Rio, Brazil will present a 30-45 minute screening programme of excerpts for our delectation! Paula will introduce the work presented and there will be space for discussion.
PANORAMA FESTIVAL VIDEO-CORPO
A selection of materials from Videoteca Panorama (video library) will be presented at Sully as a thematic screening programme concerned with the intersections between art and activism, dance and the political body. This selection is part of the project Corpo-Cópia, Documents & Traces of Political Compositions Programme (Compisições Políticas) (www.cpp.panoramafestival.com), the Ibero-American Meeting within the Festival Panorama (www.panoramafestival.com). The works selected represent a political frame of the dance production in Brazil, by some of the most important Brazilian artists. Corpo-Cópia was first organized by Andrew Mitchelson, Isabel Ferreira and Paula Gorini, with the collaboration of Maria Llopis and Coletivo Filé de Peixe, in 2011.
Paula Gorini is Journalist and Cultural Producer. Paula has worked for 4 years as Producer and Project Manager with Festival Panorama and is working in London for 3 months, at the Live Art Development Agency (on a Professional Exchange Programme supported by Cultural Leadership Programme/Visiting Arts).
