A display of disarming connections - Public performance

Date: 13/12/2015

Duration 50 minutes

Location: Xi Lake in Hangzhou

The performance took place during a residency at the China Academy of Art.

Armed with the camera on hand and wearing elbows and knees pads, the PhotoPerfomer crawled on the footpath around the Xi Lake in Hangzhou. On his right foot he attached a large framed photograph picturing the same body position viewed from the top but with the naked body.

While crawling, he was pointing the camera toward each passerby who would take a picture with their mobile phone or other devises.

The picture taken from the PhotoPerformer’s camera have never been shown and remain an undisclosed trace of a suspicious connection with the audience.
