In August 2008 Manuel Vason was asked to spend some time in and around the Shaolin Temple in China. The invite came from his friend and teacher Shifu (Master) Yan Lei. The aim of the trip was to collaborate with the Master while living and training at the temple among the 20000 students. While the task was physically challenging on Vason’s body, they constructed a series of images which have now become a publication titled ‘Qi Gong, Shifu Yan Lei’. The collaboration was documented by another still camera and it has been a real revelation for Vason to see his own body in action.
